The next update for Prepar3D v3 is here! Prepar3D v3.3.8 adds the ability to create your own private virtual environments. With this, you can now design your own environment and place your own objects anywhere in that environment. The VR capabilities are expanded allowing you to view both simulator and VR panels in VR. This update also brings more content to the Virtual Reality (VR) panels as you can now apply vehicle VR effects from both Surface and terrain.

We also didn't have a good solution for reducing the startup load time. Since the TacPack was proprietary code, we had no access to that codebase. Hence we were limited to whatever time and resources we had available. For all practical purposes, though, the TacPack was a self-contained product that could be installed independent of other Prepar3D add-ons. We had an idea that a mechanism could be created that would allow us to load the TacPack automatically when the user first launched Prepar3D. Each time the user launched Prepar3D, however, the TacPack was required to be loaded. This quickly became unfeasible. We also didn't have a good method of updating the TacPack to reflect new levels of product maturity. As development continued, it became clear that we would have to bring the TacPack to an additive release format. The TacPack was, at that time, nearing completion. We were, in fact, well on our way to completing development. We could have started working on adding other feature sets immediately. Instead, we decided that it would be better to test the waters with a good foundational release first.
